Who Is Brock Meisenheimer?
It's always
good to know something about the professionals you choose to work with, and
this page will give you some insight into Brock's background.
From the
moment you meet Brock, you'll notice his easy manor and warm, friendly
personality. He works with quiet confidence and is direct, honest, and
always keeps your interests first and foremost in his mind. You will not see
from his external demeanor the conviction of his beliefs and tenacity in which
he represents his clients and their best interests.
"I was such
a good looking kid. What the heck happened!" |
Brock was
born and raised in a small community just outside of Grand Junction in
Western Colorado, called Palisade.
Palisade was
and is a rural area made up mostly of orchards, farming and small business
people. A community where everyone knows everyone and there are no secrets.
As children, Brock's four siblings (two sets of twins of which I am one, I have
a twin sister, and no, we are not identical, her beard is thicker than mine!!)
had tremendous freedom to experience the fantastic Colorado outdoor life
including horse back riding (we raised Shetland ponies) hunting, fishing,
camping, snow & water skiing, and hiking & biking at our leisure. We
grew up in a very active and athletic family.
As children
we learned the value of hard work, consistent effort, and the advantages of
being a competitor. Our parents taught us to respect others, treat everyone
fairly, keep your nose clean - so to speak, and one of the great lessons Brock
learned was that good news gets around and bad news travels fast (what goes
around comes around). Reputation, word of mouth, work ethic, and strong moral
values are extremely important. "The Golden Rule rules!"
Brock
excelled in athletics, lettering in Football, Baseball, Wrestling in high
school. He went on to Mesa State College in Grand Junction, where he put
himself through school without the financial assistance of his family. He
ultimately graduated with a bachelors degree in Recreation Management. He was a
busy young man during college between a full school schedule, working part
time, playing baseball, which included a year round practice schedule, and
being a part time snow ski instructor during the winter.
"It
doesn't get better than this!" |
Of course he
still seemed to find plenty of time for the typical fun and partying that
accompany the college life.
Any athletic
aspirations Brock had came to an abrupt halt on the baseball team's spring
break trip to Hawaii his senior year. A body surfing accident caused
temporary paralysis from the neck down. Although he was paralyzed for only a
brief period, the injury required a fusion of the top two cervical vertebrae in
his neck, which left him with permanent limited mobility.
"Ouch! My twin
Kadette."
This was a
major event in Brock's life, which prompted much soul searching. He went on
to finish the spring quarter at school but decided he needed a change. A friend
and fellow baseball player who had grown up in Las Vegas suggested he move to
Vegas. He lived in Las Vegas for a couple of years but decided to move closer
to the mountains and snow skiing, so it was back to Grand Junction in 1980.
Brock began
his real estate career in Western Colorado in the spring of 1981. About the
time he was starting, the mortgage interest rates sky rocketed and then in 1982
the bottom fell out of the real estate market in the entire Southwest along
with the oil and energy industry. What a learning experience that was. Because
of this experience, he learned early in his real estate career how to handle
adversity, creative financing, and an extremely difficult market. After
struggling for 3 years in Western Colorado and meeting the girl of his dreams,
in 1984 he decided to make a change and move to a market that would be better
for real estate. Brock and his new wife ended up moving to Montgomery County
Maryland, just outside of Washington DC, where his wife grew up. Through
nonstop and tireless effort with Coldwell Banker, in about 2 years he became
one of the top producing agents, not only in his office but also in the
Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia area. When Re/Max opened an office in 1987
in Gaithersburg, he knew it was time to branch out with the premiere real
estate company in the industry. By 1989 he became a member of the top producing
RE/MAX 100% Club, which put him in the top 1% of all Realtors across the
county.
"One of my
favorite photos" |
The most
wonderful experience of Brock's life was in June 1991 with the birth of his
only child, Morgan. "She is my motivation and inspiration".
Morgan loves
animals and is heavily involved with 4-H. She shows a variety of cows,
sheep and pigs.

Although
Morgan lives in Maryland, she recently showed in the National Short Horn
show in Ohio.
After a
divorce, Brock decided to move back out west, and he chose Las Vegas in
part because of its booming economy. "What a great place for a Realtor". He
moved to Las Vegas in January 1997 and has established himself again as an
industry leader. Brock enjoys golfing, movies, motorcycles, and coaching
Summerlin baseball and softball leagues.
"A two
week journey through the Southwest" |
"We had a
much better year than the Real Dodgers" |
"Colorado
National Monument, Summer 2000" |
"I choose
RE/MAX because they are the 'Cream of the Crop'. They have a solid
reputation, international presence, and truly allow me the independence yet
supportive staff of owners and Brokers, to be as successful and productive as
possible. I receive all my ad, marketing and sign calls which benefit my
clients because nobody knows their homes better than I."
Brock works
with both buyers and sellers in all price ranges. Consistently keeping up
with industry trends along with ongoing continuing education help Brock stay at
the front of the fast changing real estate industry. Brock is qualified as a
Broker and has earned the coveted GRI - Graduate of the Realtors Institute, CRS
- Certified Residential Specialist, and the ABR - Accredited Buyer
Representative designations. "I believe an educated consumer is a happy one. I
see my job as one of an educator and information provider. I don't sell my
clients; I inform them and help them make decisions, based on all available
information, that are in their best interests." Because Brock's clients love
the way he works and his professionalism, the vast majority of his clients are
referrals from previous clients and other agents around the country. What
speaks more highly that other Realtors referring Brock their business? Many of
Brock's clients become lifelong personal friends.
